Talk about honouring your heritage in a big way! Ji Yuting and He Tao, a Chinese couple, got married in August 2016, and wanted to celebrate their marriage through a series of travels throughout China.

The 365-day tour will see them wearing traditional costumes from the country's 56 ethnic groups. The pair, who met during a trip in Tibet, quit their jobs in the city of Chongqing to embark on their spectacular journey. Throughout, they will hitchhike and walk on foot, beginning from Chongqing.

So far, they have already taken wedding photos in 19 traditional costumes including those from Mongol, Hezhe, Bao'an, Evenki, Manchi and Oroqen ethnic groups. Their wedding album will also include Western-style wedding gowns and suits.

The couple, who embarked on their epic journey on September 25, 2016, have shared snaps of their travels via a public WeChat account. They are currently still on their trip, and we can't wait to see more of their story soon!
