4 stylish day-to-night outfits for every budget

SEE PHOTOS: Shuttling from work to play might take a toll on your body, but it doesn't have to tax your style. These 4 mix and match outfits will keep you chic around the clock

Whenever I have a social engagement lined up after work, I always feel terribly stressed getting dressed in the morning. I find it hard to decide on an outfit because of a myriad of reasons.

I need to be in comfortable clothes (or else my brain juice can’t flow), look marginally professional (adhering to my office dress code) yet I still want that bit of bling and sparkle (and maybe bare some skin) for my night out with my girlfriends.

I used to lug my party minis to the office and swap into them in once the clock hit 6, but I find it too much of a hassle and not to mention, super uncool! So I have sussed out 4 work outfits with a little twist — for every budget — that can transcend the timestamp flawlessly.

#1 Budget: $350

Polyester viscose dress, $86.16 from ASOS

(L-R) Stainless steel watch, $96.93; polyurethane heels, $68.93; brass & cord necklace, $86.16 all from ASOS

Swop your LBD (little black dress) for a LWD (little white dress), and amp up the look with a pair of statement heels and necklace.

#2 Budget: $600

Polyester jumpsuit, $149 from Mango

(L-R) Marc by Marc Jacobs gold plated bracelet, $79; Rebecca Minkoff calfskin heels  $342 from Shopbop; Steel earrings, $17.23 from ASOS

While you should refrain from sticking to your usual black dresses, the black jumpsuit is a refreshing look for the office. Opt for a sleeveless style since your legs are already covered up. For a more conservative office, you may want to throw on a cardigan.

#3 Budget: $850

Backstage viscose matching set, $450.07 from Revolve Clothing

(L-R) Acrylic earrings, $12.95 from ASOS; Sam Edelman leather flats, $164 from Shopbop; Amber Sceats silver bangle, $179 from Just Tangy

The perfect time saver: matching co-ords. They are incredibly effortless because they require almost no styling! If you can afford to show a bit of skin, go for a crop top version.

#4 Budget: $1,600

Self-Portrait polyester top and skirt, $660 from E-ti-kit

(L-R) CC Skye leather bracelet, $210 from Just Tangy; Tabitha Simmons suede heels, $708 from Net-A-Porter; Zinc earrings, $12.92 from ASOS

Play with textures and fabrics to enhance your outfit. Let the geometric floral lace take centrestage by keeping your accessories simple.
