Angelene Chan (CEO of DP Architects), Ambassador Chan Heng Chee and President Halimah Yacob hold very different job titles, but they are all former recipients of the Her World Woman of the Year award.
Woman of the Year: Women whose achievements have earned them acclaim and respect
Her World has been honouring women who have made an outstanding contribution to society since 1991. The Woman of the Year has excelled in her industry and made a significant impact on society in the year that she received the award. In short – she’s the ultimate role model.
The nominations for Woman of the Year 2018 are now open, and if you would like to submit a name, here’s what you should take note of:
Young Woman Achiever: Women who are paving the way forward
And because potential should also be recognised, the Her World Young Woman Achiever Award seeks to identify young women who are pushing boundaries and are aiming to enact change.
If you have a candidate in mind, she will be in good company: designer Priscilla Shunmugan of Ong Shumugam, and filmmaker Kirsten Tan (whose film Pop-Aye was Singapore's submission to the Academy Awards) and the Singapore Women’s Everest Team have all been past winners.
