7 of Singapore’s most successful women tell us the one piece of advice they wish they had known earlier in their careers

An industry leader within Facebook (a company that currently owns not only its eponymous social media network, but also WhatsApp and Instagram); the co-founder of Singapore-grown ecommerce success story Love, Bonito and the founder of Singapore’s very own fashion week (as well as 11 other businesses) – were just three of the amazing women who sat down on the couch with our host Angelique Teo on Saturday, March 19, 2016. Over 200 young women gathered for the third Her World Young Woman Achiever Forum as we pondered the question, what does it mean for a woman to have it all in 2016. 

We also got the chance to sit down with all our panelists: 2015 Woman of the Year SAC Madam Zuraidah Abdullah, Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police, Singapore Police Force; Dr Yeo Sze Ling, Research Scientist and Her World Young Woman Achiever 2013; Ms Tjin Lee, Managing Director and Founder of Mercury Group and Chairman of Singapore Fashion Week; social media influencer Rachel Lim, Co-founder of online fashion store- Love, Bonito; Cheryl Ou, Founder of the socially conscious business, The Nail Social; Simrat Sawhney, Industry Lead, Travel, South East Asia, Facebook; and Lim Ke Xin, a Senior Tax Manager at PwC, for a one-on-one chat about what success means to them. The answers were surprising and insightful.
