Held at the West Ballroom of Resorts World Sentosa Convention Centre, the annual Miss Universe Singapore Pageant was a night of glamour. Guests who attended the event got all dolled up with many sporting backless bedazzled floor-length gowns. To our surprise, there were also many “men in black” -men decked out in dapper black suits present at the pageant. There were about 450 people who showed up for the affair that took place over a resplendent five course-meal. The glittering beauty contest kicked off with an opening speech by Nuraliza Osman, national director of Miss Universe Singapore Organisation B.V. and winner of the 2002 title.
