Skyscanner, the site we all love for finding cheap flights, recently finished a two-year study on the buying patterns of Singaporeans when it comes to flight tickets. The conclusion? The best time to book your Christmas getaway this year is from now till the first week of September.

Skyscanner has predicted that you will save nearly 40% on Christmas flights to Penang, and over 30% on bookings to Jakarta and Kuching. Flights to Kuala Lumpur and Tokyo are 20% cheaper than average as well.
It is expected that you’ll save the most when you book the outbound flight for 22 December, and the return flight for 28 December, give or take a few days.
