Popping your blisters, however tempting, isn’t recommended as you’ll be at a higher risk of an infection. But then simply enduring the pain until it goes away naturally often feels like a lifetime to wait. Why not try these alternative methods instead to make your blisters disappear faster.

Soak your feet

Treat your blister by soaking your feet in a tub of warm water with Epsom salts. This will help to soften the blister, which encourages it to drain naturally. Plus, it’ll help to reduce the swelling too. Another alternative is to soak your feet in green tea. It’ll help to quicken the healing process with its anti-inflammatory properties.

Apply aloe vera gel

Aloe vera gel will help to calm damaged skin and reduce any swelling or redness since it’s a natural anti-inflammatory. It also hydrates the skin, thus helping the blister to heal easily.

Dab apple cider vinegar

This may sting a little, but apple cider vinegar has antibacterial properties that help prevent your popped blisters from getting infected. Simply use a cotton swab to apply onto the affected area.

Use deodorant

It’s hard for your blister to heal if it’s constantly exposed to moisture and friction. Applying a layer of deodorant (an antiperspirant one would work best) will help to keep your feet dry and reduce the friction between your feet and shoes.
