Remember Gordon Ramsay's last Singapore visit? Fans may just get to see him here again soon, for the chef is opening a restaurant-bar here come 2015.
We share everything you need to know (at this point at least) about this upcoming foodie spot.
1. It’s Bread Street Kitchen, the Singapore edition
Ramsay, who was last in Singapore in July 2013, will be modelling his restaurant-bar here after his successful London restaurant, Bread Street Kitchen. A similar restaurant, also to carry the Bread Street Kitchen moniker and concept, is opening in Hong Kong this September, at popular watering hole Lan Kwai Fong.
And it may even include Singapore-style dishes. When The Business Times spoke to Stuart Gillies, managing director of the Gordon Ramsay Group, he’d said that “there will be a 60 per cent to 70 per cent template [for the menu], but the rest will be adapted according to the local market.”
2. Fancy and friendly dining?
While price details have not been firmed up, this new restaurant-bar will likely include a mix of both casual dining flair, coupled with unfussy mains as well as that exquisite multi-course spread of small bites, depending on what you order.
Described as a “British European menu with fresh seasonal produce”, expect dishes similar to the beef short rib burgers, ricotta hotcakes and ceviches, based on the London restaurant’s current menu.
3. Yes, it will look “industrial chic”
The stripped-down, industrial chic aesthetic will be brought to the Singapore restaurant as well. And yes, it’s said to be modelled after an industrial warehouse.

That's a look that may just be a complete turnaround decor-wise from the London restaurant (as seen above).
