#1. Table by Rang Mahal - Mum dines for free
This modern Indian restaurant will be serving lunch and dinner sets inspired by Chef Sovani’s mother’s favourite dishes.
Your mom gets to dine for free if there are three others dining in with her. So bring along dad and sibling if you have one to make it a family dinner.
The lunch and dinner sets cost $50++ and include classic Indian dishes such as tandoori paneer tikka -- homemade cottage cheese in a tangy yoghurt marinade, with pillowy naan fresh from the oven to mop it up with.
This promotion is available only on 13 May, so make your reservation soon if you intend to go.
Table by Rang Mahal is at Naumi Hotel, 41 Seah Street.
#2. Pigsfly - $10 nett pizza
We can’t think of many other places that sell pizza of this size and quality for $10 nett. This one’s aptly named Mama Mia! for Mother’s Day, and is available from 12 - 13 May.
This thin crust cheese pizza is made with dough that’s been mixed in with fresh spinach and is heaped with a generous helping of arugula.
You’ll find melted gooey cheese holding it all together -- four types of cheese in particular -- cheddar, mozzarella, parmesan, and monterey jack.
If your mum enjoys the occasional tipple too, go for some prosecco. Pigsfly’s usual Sunday promotion of one-for-one prosecco is still available on 13 May.
Pigsfly is at 273 Thomson Road.
#3. Coffee Lounge - Free flow durian desserts

If your mom loves durian, one of the best places you could bring her is Coffee Lounge, at Goodwood Park Hotel.
It’s just nice that Mother’s Day coincides with the Durian Fiesta there. It costs $38.80 per person, and it’s worth your money, as some pastries like the new D24 Orange Choc-a-Bloc costs $16, a la carte.
We suggest you try the D24 White Chocolate Raspberry Dome. It’s a tart filled with D24 durian flesh, encased in a fragile white chocolate dome that’s sprinkled with pleasantly tart raspberries for a sweet-sour taste.
Or if your mom loves indulgent desserts, go for the D24 Coffee Glaze, a cake that’s made with coffee-infused sponge cake and layered with durian pulp and coated with a rich coffee glaze.
Coffee Lounge is at Goodwood Park Hotel, 22 Scotts Road.
