AVENGERS EXHIBITION

Go somewhere off the beaten track by exploring the Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. at the Science Centre. It’s an immersive experience that allows you to study the science behind your favourite Marvel superheroes like Iron Man, Thor and Captain America. While perusing the detailed history, genetics, technology, mission and personal profiles of the Avengers team, your man might just tell you he’ll be your superhero forever.

COUPLE CALLIGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Hand lettering is still hot amongst the trendy set right now, and what better way to learn the art than with your partner? Master the basics of modern calligraphy and design your very own art piece for your other half. You get to bring home materials like a calligraphy practice worksheet and the trainer’s Valentine’s Day design template for your future use.

Details: 11 Feb 2017, 12pm-3pm, $158 per pair. See Estore.makeyourown.sg/workshops/make-your-own-calligraphy01-workshop.html

STORY OF THE FOREST

Remember Future World, the exhibition at the ArtScience Museum that was all over Instagram with couples posing against the sparkly digital backdrop? Check out Story of the Forest, the next Instagram-worthy installation by the very same creators. Drawing inspiration from the National Museum of Singapore’s prized William Farquhar Collection of Natural History Drawings, the exhibition brings to life 69 drawings from the collection within the museum’s gorgeous Glass Rotunda.

COUPLE PERFUME WORKSHOP

Here’s your chance to create unique perfume scents for yourself and your partner. You’ll be given a perfume personality questionnaire, but consider spicing things up by filling it in for each other or at the very least consulting with each other. You can then use that as a guide to create your very own formula at Jetaime Perfumery.

Details: Every Mon and Tues 10am-4pm, Wed-Sun 10am-8pm, $250. See Jetaime-singapore.com/booking--payment---calendar.html.

This specially designed workshop for couples is quite literally a neat way to keep your relationship flourishing in the bloom of health.

SECRET LOVE IN PEACH BLOSSOM LAND

Catch modern classic Secret Love in Peach Blossom Land at the Esplanade Theatre. The play revolves around two theatre groups that are mistakenly booked into the same space for rehearsals. As both groups struggle for control of the stage, resulting in chaos and numerous comic squabbles, their contrasting worlds begin to come together, creating surprising new layers of meaning.

The production is directed by award-winning theatre director and filmmaker Ismene Ting and features a stellar cast that includes Golden Bell Award winners and popular Taiwanese television and stage personalities. Don’t worry if you’re not proficient in Chinese, as English surtitles are provided.

Details: 11 and 12 Feb 2017, Sat 2pm & 8pm, Sun 2pm, $38-$118. See Esplanade.com/festivals-and-series/huayi-chinese-festival-of-arts/2017/secret-love-in-peach-blossom-land?tabid=3b28983a-2723-4123-9f99-9c047e25b923
