1. Being the first runner-up of Star Search 1995

Christopher Lee rose to fame as the 1st runner-up in the male category of Star Search 1995, earning him a contract with TCS (Television Corporation of Singapore). Before his big break, Lee juggled various jobs as a waiter, butcher, and even factory worker. The exposure and prize money of $40k from Star Search became a stepping stone for him, driving him toward his journey to the top of the acting industry.

2. Winning his first Best Actor award at Star Awards 1997

Christopher Lee clinched his first Best Actor award for his emotional performance of a hanjian in The Price of Peace. He played Xie Guomin, anti-Japanese activist who ultimately betrayed the Chinese after enduring brutal torture. At just 26, Lee became the youngest winner of the Best Actor award and also secured a spot in the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artistes category in the same year.

3. Winning Best Leading Actor in Taiwan’s Golden Bell Awards

Since his standout performance as Yang Guo in The Return of the Condor Heroes, Christopher Lee steadily rose to fame in Taiwan, opening doors to new international projects, recognition and success. In 2014, he won his first Golden Bell Award for Best Leading Actor in a Television Series for his emotionally gripping portrayal of a depressed workaholic in A Good Wife.
