MADONNA: A Transformational Exhibition
The exclusive travelling, multi-media exhibition makes its stop at Sentosa Cove, W Hotel Singapore. It features never-before-seen photographs of the music and fashion legend’s iconic 1980s street style shot by celebrated photographers Richard Corman and George DuBose. At each stop along the global tour, New York City street artist Alec Monopoly will transform the photos live using his graffiti style artistry. Featuring his signature “Monopoly Man” tag, Monopoly will utilize colors that mirror the vibrancy of vitaminwater’s robust flavors while bringing to life the 24/7 nature of W Hotels.

Twisters
Mix is back again with their year-end concert, Twisters. This ensemble, consisting of classically trained musicians representing a fusion of pop and classical music, have put together this concert, which is a face-off between the familiar and the unfamiliar in an evening of works in which each tells of a little twist in their tale. The highlight of the evening is English composer Joseph Horovitz’s seldom heard Jazz Concerto which following its world premiere in 1966 by harpsichordist (and the work’s dedicatee) George Malcolm has been praised for its inventiveness.

iFly Singapore Indoor Skydiving World Championships
More than 400 competitors and participants from over 10 countries with some of the best names in the sport including Arizona Airspeed – USA national team and world champions, and Nexus from Dubai will compete at the inaugural iFly Singapore Indoor Skydiving World Championships from December 14 to 16, 2012. Be wowed by the array of commanding and dazzling performances as the World Championships promises to be an eye-opener and spectacle. In addition, come and support our local stars, Team Firefly girls aged 10 and 11 years old as they represent Singapore and compete against the other professionals for cash and prizes worth up to S$150,000.

Champions for Charity
Spend your holiday weekends at the Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall and support a good cause! Jointly organised by students from Nanyang Girls’ High School, ITE College Central and Ngee Ann Polytechnic, the grounds of the memorial hall will be transformed into a cultural carnival offering retro game stalls, a charity bazaar, opera performances, drama workshops, guided tours and more! All proceeds will go towards supporting The Ang Mo Kio Family Service Centres and its activities.

The Philharmonic Winds Goes Pop!
What better way to enjoy the holiday season than to let The Philharmonic Winds’ arrangements of some of the most popular and well-loved songs dazzle you! Among the chart toppers featured in this concert are hits by Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Train, and a special medley of songs by Adele, including her hits “Someone Like You” and “Rolling In the Deep”. One highlight of this concert would be the collaboration between the 60-strong wind orchestra and Singaporean singer-songwriter Charlie Lim. Based in Australia, Charlie’s name is well known amongst Melbourne’s musical elite, having opened shows for Kimbra and Elbow, and played on hundreds of stages in the region, including the renowned Mosaic Music Festival and Jarasum International Jazz Festival.

The Return of Jazzy Christmas Duets with Jeremy Monteiro and Friends
Jazzy Christmas returns to the Esplanade stage after a two-year hiatus with jazz pianist Jeremy Monteiro playing one duet after another with six stellar guests—each a star in their own right and master of their own style. This concert promises to be a kaleidoscope of sounds. Jeremy will share the stage with friends new and old such as top Malaysian pianist Michael Veerapen, with whom Jeremy performed at the very first Jazzy Christmas concert.

Dino World Ice Gallery
As part of Snow City’s makeover, Snow City welcomes you to the Dino World ice gallery where more than 20 intricate ice sculptures created by celebrity ice sculptor Jeffrey Ng can be seen. Jeffrey Ng led a team of experienced snow sculptors to create impressive ice sculptures of dinosaurs set against a cascading waterfall using nearly 500 blocks of ice, each weighing about 130 kg and over a three weeks period under sub zero temperatures. Even colder than the main snow chamber, this ice gallery is maintained at -12 degrees!
