Islamic Art at the Asian Civilisations Museum
Two exhibitions, Islamic Arts from Southeast Asia and Treasures of the Aga Khan Museum: Architecture in Islamic Arts, at the Asian Civilisations Museum showcase an amazing array of Islamic art spanning across many centuries and regions. Expect to see works such as wooden sculptures, precious metal objects, ceramics, batik textiles, paintings and architectural elements.
Date and time: Islamic Arts From Southeast Asia runs from July 7, 2012 to January 20, 2013, while Treasures of the Aga Khan Museum runs from July 19 to October 28 2012 at 1 – 7pm (Monday), 9am – 7pm (Tuesday to Saturday), 9am – 9pm (Friday)

Formula 1 For Everyone by Singtel

Appreciating Art Lecture Series
Let Singapore Art Museum curators take you on a seven-session lecture series, discussing how recent developments in Southeast Asia’s cultural, social and political scenes have shaped its contemporary art, with reference to important works that have been in SAM’s collection. Speakers include SAM director, Tan Boon Hui.

Asia Global Bellydance Competition

Sentosa BBQ by the Beach
Sentosa means business at their BBQ, as their cooking method involves a Polynesian traditional oven in a pit, called the Imu. Seafood will be wrapped in fata paper or banana leaf and cooked in the Imu over hot coals.
