The Intimate Moment
The images of dancers in motion from Paris’ Studio Harmonie are so amazing, it’s hard to imagine that photog Yian Huang only picked up the art on a whim as a 28 year-old a decade ago. He has since gone on to win the L’Oreal Photography Competition, exhibit at the Palais du Louvre and contribute to The Economist, Newsweek and Sports Illustrated.

Dreams and Reality: Masterpieces of Painting, Drawing and Photography from the Musee D’Orsay, Paris
Whether the phrase “Starry, starry night…” evokes images of that famous Impressionist painting by Vincent van Gogh or the 1972 song by American Pie singer Don McLean (which was a tribute to the famed painter), a visit to this exhibition is a must. Aranzi World Caravan
We popped by PARCO when the Aranzi World Caravan stopped over in Singapore last year and the only thing we regretted? Not buying enough of the stationery, household items and other oddities adorned with the out-of-this-world characters designed by Ms Kinuyo Saito and Ms Yoko Yumura. With prices starting from $3, it’ll be hard convincing yourself you don’t need that extremely cute pen.

A Family Treasury of Recipes
Formerly the director of kitchens at Tung Lok’s group of restaurants, celebrity chef Sam Leong has opened a cooking school with his wife, Forest Leong. As part of the month-long gastronomic event, Asian Masters, the duo will teach you how to cook their hometown favourites in four different workshops. Chef Leong’s mother will be present at the third session to pass on her knowledge of chilli and chicken rice-making — talk about a family affair.
