Dust — A Recollection
Set in a place many of us are familiar with – a HDB flat, this play, based on a Hokkien short story and centred around a young couple who moves into their brand new three-room apartment isn’t straightforward material, involving the husband waking up not to his young wife, but an old woman. You’ve got to watch it to find out why.

Off The Wall –  Down by Law in Singapore, Lah!
Graffiti art is loud, bright, creative and no longer reserved for vandals. In fact, street art pieces have sold for between 20,000 euros to 50,000 euros (around $35,000 to $87,000) at art auctions and you’ll find the work of famed street artist Kongo on an Hermes scarf from its A/W 2011 collection. He and 17 other artists will be in Singapore to collaborate on artworks “live”, adding to the 72 pieces on display.

VivoCity Sets The Record For ‘The Largest Display of Hand-Painted Elephants’
Elephants have taken over Singapore, and for good reason. The Elephant Parade wants to conserve the population of Asian elephants and aside from appreciating the elephant sculptures around Singapore (25 of them are displayed in VivoCity including the one painted by Rupert Grint, of Harry Potter fame), you can join others in creating your own blank elephant sculpture. Zsofi’s 3rd Birthday Bash

Run for Hope
More funding for cancer research has resulted in improved survival rates and better understanding of how certain cancers work — and you can play a part in furthering the cause. All proceeds from this run will go to local cancer research agencies. Besides, you’ll get a great workout.

The mesmerising details on the saris and shalwar kameezs of today have had a long history – the fabrics on display hshowcase the craftsmanship of Indian textile makers centuries ago. It’s no wonder these patterns were in high demand in Europe and greatly influenced the fashions of that time.
