You probably heard this before that if you wear a bra to sleep – you will get cancer. Cue horror music.

Think there’s any truth to it? According to Dr. Amber Guth, who works at Breast Cancer Surgery Multidisciplinary Fellowship, she told Huffington Post that there “is certainly no evidence that sleeping in bras is either helpful or harmful.”

Also, for those who sleep in their bras thinking it will help build breast muscles or firm them up – sorry, ladies, this is also not true.

Unfortunately, there is no way to prevent saggy boobs which is caused by age and gravity, said Dr. Dan Mills, vice-president of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

So sleeping or not sleeping in our bra makes not cause any harm or improvement to our breasts.

If you do want perkier breasts, some exercises can help improve the appearance, reported Ms Anne Taylor, MD, a clinical assistant professor of plastic surgery at Ohio State University.

Ms Taylor recommended improving the pectoral area by strengthening surrounding ligaments.

Boobs are made of fats so doing push-ups and pull-ups will not make much of a difference.

Heard a urban legend about breasts that got you thinking? Find out if that myth is real or fake in the gallery.
