medicine to keep at home

It’s not uncommon to be under the weather or experience mild aches and pains that are not serious enough to warrant a visit to the doctor. For times like these, it’s always useful to keep a few medicines at home, apart from the common paracetamol, to treat self-limiting conditions. These medicines can save you a lot of discomfort and possibly, an expensive trip to the A&E in the middle of the night.

That said, it’s always important to read the label and the accompanying leaflet for instructions on the use and dosage for the medicine, and be aware of the possible side effects. Some of the items below can only be dispensed by a pharmacist, but it’s good to stock up on them for when you’re feeling under the weather.

When in doubt, always consult a doctor before taking any medicines and if symptoms persist, be sure to see one as soon as you can.
