It’s that time of the year again when we wear our Pink Ribbon pins loud and proud in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. These brands have also stepped up to raise funds and build awareness around the disease. Here’s how you can be part of the campaign.

 

1 Pink Pump Heels by PAZZION

Buy a pair of these limited edition pink suede pump heels ($76), by local shoe label Pazzion and contribute to the fight against breast cancer while looking cute as a button. 30 per cent of all proceeds will be donated to the Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF). Sold at all Pazzion outlets as well as the e-store.

2 Pink Kit by Eu Yan Sang

You’ve got no excuse to skip your mammogram this year. Eu Yan Sang has put together a free Pink Kit which that entitles you to $25 funding assistance for a mammogram screening at Singapore Cancer Society’s partner clinics, and a $10 Eu Yan Sang voucher.

When you buy Gold Label Bak Foong Pills, Menoease Pills or the Radiance Bird’s Nest Series from the women’s health product line, Eu Yan Sang will be donate $0.50 to Singapore Cancer Society for each product sold too.

3 Afternoon tea at Lobby Lounge, Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel

Indulge in The Perfect in Pink English Afternoon Tea for a good cause. Happening at the Lobby Lounge in Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel, you’re treated to a free flow of all things sugary and pink –  from rose macarons to raspberry doughnuts – at just $33++ per person, or $59++ if you opt to add on free-flow of Sparkling NV Belstar Cuvée Rosé. $2 from each set will go to BCF, and each guest receives a BCF Pink Ribbon pin.

4 Dining at Goodwood Park Hotel

Pink-themed dishes, anyone? Goodwood Park Hotel has got an interesting offering across its various restaurants this month. At L’Espresso, you can sample pink finger sandwiches, mini burgers and even a Ricotta couscous with pink peppercorn sauce at their Pink English Afternoon Tea. What about watermelon gazpacho with smoked salmon at Gordon Grill’s ‘Shades of Pink’ Set Lunch? Or pink dim sum in the form of glutinous rice with shrimp and peanuts, or mochi with strawberry fresh cream and strawberry bits at Min Jiang? For every guest, $2 of the bill goes towards BCF funding and they  in turn get a Pink Ribbon pin.

5 NCCS Pink Ribbon Picnic in the Park with Movies

On October 14, head over to the Eco Lake Lawn at the Singapore Botanic Gardens for a movie and picnic under the stars. The National Cancer Centre Singapore will be screening the classic musical The Sound of Music as part of their annual Breast Cancer Awareness Month event: Picnic in the Park with Movie. Admission is free. Popcorn and candy floss is on them, too!

Date: October 14, 2017, Saturday, from 7.30 to 10.30pm

 

6 Free fittings at Wacoal

Let this be your excuse to buy more pretty lingerie. Not only is Wacoal Singapore offering free measurement fittings at all of their stores, it will donate $0.50 to BCF for each fitting that’s done. And if you make a donation to BCF at any of their outlets, you receive a BCF pin and 6 Wacoal membership points (worth $6).

Cedele’s baked goods never fail to delight and this month they’ve come up with the perfect confectionery, the Pink Ribbon Cake. Going at $56 for a whole cake or $8 a slice at all Cedele bakery outlets, 20 per cent from the sale price will go to BCF.

9 Blossom Thought Cake by Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore

Here’s another sweet treat you can sink your teeth into in the name of breast cancer. The Blossom Thought Cake is an almond dacquoise with Japanese Sakura bavarois and white peach strew, a creation by Area Executive Pastry Chef Hervé Potus at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore. Priced at $38 each, $20 for each sale will be donated to BCF.

Available for purchase and collection from Shophouse in the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore lobby daily for the entire month of October

 

Where else to get a Pink Ribbon Pin

BCF has partnered with many other stores and brands across the island, including Fitness First Singapore, Marks and Spencer, Club 21 and Jean Yip Group. Make a minimum donation of $2 at any of their retail outlets to receive a Pink Ribbon pin.
