“Boyang and I love travelling, and have been to over 30 countries together.
So, we came up with this idea of doing a series of destination wedding portraits over the next couple of years.
As a wedding photographer myself, I thought it would be special to do my own shoot, since I had all the equipment we need.
We chose Jordan as our starting point as we felt that it was a place that not many people had shot at before, and we were keen on more exotic locales.
Working with a tripod was quite challenging. We had to keep running back and forth to adjust the camera’s settings and angles. There was no one to direct us on our poses, so I had to make those decisions as well.
I wish I had captured our efforts behind the scenes too. I actually fell off the camel in the midst of a shot and hit Boyang on the back!
It was also an experience trekking half of Petra to Ad Deir in my gown – with a total distance of 11km that was mostly uphill.”
HER TIPS & ADVICE
“Some of the most beautiful locations can be the ones unplanned, so stop along the way if you spot anything nice. Be open and willing to explore!”
