Fitness influencers Natalie Yeo and Joshua Woo gave their beach resort pre-wedding photos a cool sporty twist

We did one of our two pre-wedding photo shoots at The Residence Bintan. For this shoot, our aim was to showcase our various interests as a couple. 

While we wanted photos in our gowns and suits, we also wanted to incorporate a beach setting and something fitness-related, both of which encapsulate our shared passions and interests. It was great that our photographers were willing to explore shooting different concepts with us.

It is really important to pick photographers and vendors you have a good rapport with. A wedding photo shoot is a really intimate experience, so you want to feel comfortable with the people you are working with. We even did a yoga class with our photographers before our fitness shoot! 

Mother Nature can be unpredictable. We had picked out a really nice spot at the resort with the sea in the background at sunrise. However, on the morning of our shoot, we woke up to find that the tide had receded earlier than expected. It also rained for most of the day, making our outdoor shots a challenge. 

Despite it being a little unorthodox, we are really glad we chose to have some fitness and beach-themed pre-wedding shots.

HER TIPS & ADVICE 

Heading into the shoot, we definitely tried to clean up our diet a bit. We also worked out five to six time a week in the mornings before going to work. It helps when your partner shares your passion for fitness and understands your diet better.
