A Singapore couple's breathtaking mountaintop pre-wedding photos at one of New Zealand's most iconic peaks

Home to some of the most astounding natural surroundings in the world, New Zealand ranks high on the list of dream wedding photo shoot destinations - think vast mountainscapes, crystalline lakes and azure skies.

Singapore couple Athalie Toh & Gregory Cheong took their pre-wedding shoot to Mount Roy in Wanaka.

She shares:

"For our destination wedding shoot, Gregory and I gravitated towards places with a natural, bright and airy ambience.

During our search, one place stood out for us - Coromandel Peak on Mount Roy in Wanaka, New Zealand. We were sold on the idea of an autumn shoot and sough out local photographers who fit the bill.

We went with Alpine Image Co. because we appreciated their shooting style. We preferred photos that had soft and natural lighting, and were impressed with their portfolio.

Although it was a challenge to stay glamorous amid the varying weather conditions, the views on Mount Roy were simply breathtaking so it was definitely worth it."

Tips: "We focused on finding vendors we were comfortable with and whom we knew could deliver. Before you make your choice, get in touch and have a chat with them. You'll find out fairly quickly if you get along, and if they can make the experience enjoyable and memorable."
