Congratulations to our March cover girl, Mongchin Yeoh of @mongabong

She tied the knot on Saturday (23 Mar) to her beau of seven years, Matthias Lim, with a church ceremony, followed by a tea ceremony and ballroom dinner at Pan Pacific Singapore, all of which were executed with gorgeous details.

Their day started out with the veil ceremony – cue the first tears of the wedding – before the beaming groom arrived to collect his bride, who wore a classy off-the-shoulder gown that complemented the theme of their church ceremony, which was “pure, simple, elegant and clean.”

1. We woke up really early at 3AM to start with hair and makeup before my parents put the veil over me. It was an emotional moment that I’m so glad my photographer managed to capture ❤️ 2. Then @matthiashaha made his way through my bridesmaids (with ang baos of course) and it was the first time he’s seen me in this dress 3. My dad sheltering me with a red umbrella to my bridal car 4. Upon arriving at the church 5. Bridal party, all handsome men and ladies! Pure, simple, elegant and clean – exactly what I wanted for my wedding day in church. As I watched my parents and bridesmaids walk down the aisle before me, a mix of nervousness and emotions overwhelmed me and it hit me that this was the moment I’ve always been waiting for. Many people asked us, why did we ask our parents to walk down the aisle with us… We thought that instead of getting page boys and girls, honouring them this way might be something they’d appreciate better, and I’m so glad we did ❤️ Presenting to you, Mr and Mrs Matthias Lim! #MattlyInLoveWithMong – Wedding Dress & Suit: @divinebrides Flowers: @lioraflorals Styling: @wulalaaa Photography: @bobbykiranyeo Mom’s dress: @style_lease Hair and makeup: @loveblush.sg @veraveralim

For the decor, Mongchin shared on Instagram that she wanted “something simple and romantic”.

Her wedding stylist, Lalu of Wulala, perfectly realised her vision with a romantic and whimsical reception setting that included a greenery feature wall.

Many thanks are in order, planning a wedding wasn’t easy and it was definitely harder to find a team that knew exactly what we wanted. For the church solemnisation, i wanted something simple, romantic and while working on a lot of restrictions set by the church, this is what my stylist @wulalaaa came up with and I can’t ask for more! She covered up the entire noticeboard with greens and it became so beautifully unrecognisable afterwards – To Lalu, the little strong girl that took all our styling on her shoulders, thank you for transforming all the places into such beautiful ones. It was a breeze working with you because you were so receptive to my ideas and we nailed everything on the second meet up! I’m glad we trusted you with all the decor and styling for #mattlyinlovewithmong ❤️

The celebrations that followed after took place in the beautiful venues of Pan Pacific Singapore – a tea ceremony at Keyaki Pavilion, and banquet at the Pacific Ballroom.

“We did our Chinese tea ceremony at a gorgeous Japanese pavilion…I spotted this place when I first went to Keyaki for a lunch and thought it would be so beautiful for photos,” she shared.

The beauty and lifestyle influencer changed into a bespoke floor-length red cheongsam by Divine Brides, and completed her bridal look with an elegant chignon for the traditional ceremony.

We did our Chinese tea ceremony 敬茶 at a gorgeous Japanese pavilion in the hotel we held our wedding banquet in. I spotted this place when I first went to Keyaki for a lunch and thought it would be so beautiful for photos hehe! So much feels ❤️ My bespoke cheongsam was created by @divinebrides , and I requested for a dark maroon-ish red instead of a bright red one as it looked more modern and matched my yellow-ish skin tone better. My MIL also presented the 四点金 during the ceremony itself and I’m so glad I chose one that was dainty and suitable for everyday wear, hehe! As for shoes, I intentionally customised one for this dress in the same color tone and it arrived exactly how I envisioned ❤️ – & @divinebrides Hair&Makeup: @veraveralim From @loveblush.sg Customised Shoes: @thewhiteatelier Earrings: BKK Photography: @bobbykiranyeo #mattlyinlovewithmong #敬茶 #keyaki #panpacificsingapore

The day culminated with a ballroom dinner with their all their loved ones in attendance, and the couple made a dazzling entrance with the bride in a mermaid lace number also by Divine Brides.

The reception area was done up with a romantic and luxe colour palette of gold, white and pink, and featured a custom backdrop and standing flower arrangements.

The first march in – I’m not gonna lie that at this point, after going through the church solemnisation, my nerves turned into anticipation because I knew this would be the night I’d see all of my friends and loved ones in one place. Never in my life would I ever be able to experience an occasion like this where I can have everyone that loves @matthiashaha and I at the same place, at the same time again. To all our guests, our hearts are so full that you all made it for our big day ❤️ – Bespoke gown: @divinebrides Matt’s suit: @divinebrides Wedding shoes: @thewhiteatelier Styling: @wulalaaa Wedding cake & dessert table: @abitesg Flowers: @lioraflorals ‍♀️Hair&Makeup: @veraveralim from @loveblush.sg : @bobbykiranyeo : @linstudios #mattlyinlovewithmong
