Malaysian actress Juliana Evans marries royalty in intimate ceremony

It's a royal celebration for Malaysian actress Juliana Evans and groom Tengku Sharifuddin Shah Tengku Sulaiman, a member of the Selangor and Johor royal family. According to a press statement, the solemnisation ceremony was held at an undisclosed venue in Shah Alam, Selangor on Sunday morning, with close family members of the couple in attendance.

The bride was elegant in an exquisitely embroidered dress and lace veil, while her 29-year-old-groom was dashing in a white baju melayu, a pair of black slacks and a cream-hued songket sampin.

“I’m now officially a wife, and I’m ready to carry the responsibilities that come with marriage," she says. "I hope my fans will pray for our happiness." 

Eschewing an engagement ceremony, the pair went straight for a solemnisation and are likely to hold their wedding reception after Hari Raya.
