Hong Kong star Gillian Chung's hot doctor fiance!

Cantopop star and Twins member Gillian Chung, announced on social media today that she is engaged to her boyfriend, Taiwanese doctor Michael Lai, months after their relationship was made public.

The 37-year-old star posted a photo of her diamond ring with the caption: “Next stop happiness!”

She also shared on her Weibo pictures from her birthday celebration that included her engagement ring and multiple birthday cakes, and wrote: “This is the best gift for my lunar birthday. Thank you for your love.”

Lai, who is also known as the medical world’s Sunny Wang for his good looks and fit physique, works for Beaute J’adore, an aesthetic clinic run by actress Tammy Chen’s husband, doctor Hsueh-Po-ren.

The 32 year old has quite a following on his Instagram as well, and is friends with many Taiwanese stars, including Elva Hsiao and Tammy Chen.

He has taken part in a photoshoot with Sunny Wang for a breast cancer awareness campaign, and is spotted attending fashion and red carpet events.

The couple’s relationship was first made public in October last year. And in November, Chung shared a romantic photo of them in Hawaii on her Instagram.

Lai was also with her during fellow Twins’ member Charlene Choi’s 35^th birthday celebration, and Chung shared another couple shot of them taken during the party on her Weibo.

In a recent interview, Chung had praised her boyfriend, “We have not known each other for very long, but he is very caring towards me. He makes me feel loved.”

She also hinted that she wanted to be married and have a baby before she turns 40.

While Chung has been previously linked with other Hong Kong stars, and had gone public with her relationship with Tyler Kwon in 2013, this will be her first marriage.
