According to The Star, Gustin was in Sabah for the first time tie the knot with physical therapist Andrea Thoma, who is half Kadazan. The pair had an intimate customary wedding at Thoma's family home in Kg Kolopis Penampang on 28th December, Wednesday, which was attended by close friends and family.

Thoma, who was born and gew up in Ohio, the United States, said that she knows of some of the cultures and practices in Sabah, and can also speak a little Malay and Kadazan, thanks to her mother. “My mum makes sure that she speaks to us in Kadazan at times so that we would not be completely clueless about our other identity apart from being American,” she said.

Her family makes trips to Sabah every few years so as not to lose touch with their Borneo heritage.

The pair are said to be planning a reception in the United States sometime next year. Watch this space!
