Inside Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' $500,000 royal palace wedding

Indian actress Priyanka Chopra is now a Jonas! The Quantico star, 36, wed US singer Nick Jonas, 26, in a lavish wedding in India over the weekend - and they reportedly had a budget of half a million US dollars.

The couple were reported to be engaged in July this year, and had a beautiful Hindu ceremony in August. 

A Christian ceremony

The nuptials kicked off with a Christian ceremony at the Umaid Bhavan Palace in the Indian city of Jodhpur, a luxury palace hotel once the residence of Indian royalty. 

American fashion house Ralph Lauren dressed the couple for the happy occasion, with Priyanka Chopra in a crystal-embellished black gown and the Jonas brother in a formal white tux.

According to People, the wedding was officiated by the groom's father, Paul Kevin Jonas, who is a pastor. 

The Hindu ceremony

The traditional mehendi ceremony, an important Hindu tradition, was held the next day. Chopra had her hands and feet decorated with henna by the women of both families. The couple donned attire by Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla - the bride stunned in a vibrant dress with ornate jewellery. 

The couple took it up a fun notch with a cricket match between Team Bride and Team Groom. (See: Personalise your wedding with these 8 fun things to do!)

For the sangeet (Indian wedding tradition that involves singing, dancing and music), the bride shone in a glittering sari hand embroidered in gold and silver. From what we saw in a video posted on instagram, it was an extravaganza filled with song and dance, with performances by the Jonas brothers (but of course), as well as the couple themselves. And yup, there was a full -fledged dance-off at the celebration.

To end of the weekend of epic festivities: A shower of spectacular fireworks was seen lighting up the Umaid Bhavan Palace and the night sky after the wedding.
