Celebrities who got engaged in 2016 and might tie the knot in 2017

Despite the rollercoaster year with a number of celebrity unions like Shu Qi and Stephen Fung's hush-hush marriage, Cecilia Liu and Nicky Wu's pastel wedding in Bali, Ruby Lin and Wallace Huo's romantic double celebration in Bali and Taiwan, Agyness Deyn's boho ceremony, Tavia Yeung's star-studded Hong Kong banquet, Eva Longoria and Jose Baston's resort nuptials in Mexico, Michelle Chen and Chen Xiao's lavish celebrations in Beijing and Taiwan and splits (notably Brad and Angelina's high-profile divorce, as well as Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts' and Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney's separations), these are the celebrations to look forward in the coming year.

The tennis superstar said "I Do" to Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian. While all eyes have been kept peeled for the sparkler in question (the star is said to love her bling), Serena took to Instagram to reveal her engagement ring... which came in the form of a corn tortilla. Well played.

4. Harlem Yu and Jinny Chang

The Taiwanese singer-actor-host quietly registered his marriage to newscaster Jinny Chang in late July 2016. The news only came to light when his Sing! China co-judge Na Ying spilled the beans at a live event shortly after.
