Akash Ambani’s wedding guests included Tony Blair, Priyanka Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan
After his daughter’s lavish US$100m nuptials in December 2018 that made headlines across the globe, India’s (and also Asian’s) richest man Mukesh Ambani has thrown another extravagant wedding for his son Akash Ambani. His bride, Shloka Mehta, is the daughter of Russell Mehta, a diamond merchant and managing director of family-owned company Rosy Blue. Both are 28-years-old.
The event in Mumbai, saw a horde of famous names flying in from all over the world, including Google’s chief executive Sundar Pichai, former British PM Tony Blair, Bollywood actresses Aishwarya Rai and Priyanka Chopra, and cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Hardik Pandya.
The post-wedding party saw guests dancing to a gig by American pop-rock band Maroon 5 (pop diva Beyonce took to the stage for his sister’s wedding last December).

Hong Kong – Hong Kong tycoon Stanley Ho’s daughter Sabrina Ho Chiu-yeng has announced her upcoming marriage to a Harvard student from Harbin, China.
The 28-year-old, the eldest daughter of Stanley Ho’s 17 children, unveiled her engagement on Instagram on Friday, posting a video of Thomas Xin Qilong proposing to her in September.

Xin, 21, made the headlines in 2016 for being the second person from the city of Harbin, in Heilongjiang province, to be admitted to Harvard University. Born and raised in the capital of Heilongjiang province, Xin studied at Harbin No.3 Middle School before gaining admission to the elite U.S. college. In an interview with local media in 2016, Xin said he had read more than 200 books in English during high school on subjects such as history and economics. He added that his parents often took him traveling with them and had offered him the freedom to choose whatever future interested him.
One of Stanley Ho’s 17 children, 28-year-old Sabrina is the billionaire’s eldest daughter with his fourth wife, Angela Leong. She is the chief executive of Poly Auction Macau and helms art and culture promotion firm Chiu Yeng Culture. She is also a strategic partner of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
It’s not known how the two met.
