Idris Elba is officially a married man.
The English actor (he's also a producer, director, musician, DJ, and rapper), who's best known for the role of drug trafficker Stringer Bell on HBO series The Wire, and also played the protector of the Bifrost, Heimdall, in Marvel's Thor films, was crowned the 'Sexiest Man Alive' by People magazine last year.
The 46-year-old star wed longtime girlfriend and former Miss Vancouver 2014 Sabrina Dhowre in a lavish three-day wedding in Morroco.
Elba had popped the question to Dhowre in February 2018, at a screening of Elba’s directorial debut, Yardie, in London.

According to British Vogue, the celebrations started with a "colours of the Souk" themed dinner the night before the wedding, which was attended by friends and family. They'd exchanged vows on April 26 at the Ksar Char Bagh hotel in Marrakesh, before throwing an all-white festival-like party at the Mandarin Oriental on the last day of the nuptials.
Dhowre wore two Vera Wang creations for the wedding day, donning a sophisticated off-the-shoulder white A-line gown for the ceremony before changing into a pearl- and gemstone-embellished V-neck embroidered dress with lace for the reception. Her groom was sharp in a bespoke suit Ozwald Boateng. The dress code for guests was black-tie.

On the guest list was also the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. And while they didn't manage to turn up because of the Duchess' pregnancy, the royal couple reportedly splashed out on a piece of artwork for Elba and his bride, according to Mail on Sunday. The gift in question was a USD 9,000 piece from artist duo the Connor Brothers with the quote, "Why fit in when you were born to stand out?"
A pretty cool and unexpected gift, if you ask us.

The actor had known Prince Charles and Prince Harry through The Prince's Trust charity, and had previously also DJ-ed at the Royal Wedding last year.
