1. Stay away from the sun and pile on the sunblock
Keep your skin protected from the sun with plenty of sunblock, as they can cause pigmentation and dryness or worse: a sunburn and tan lines. I recommend Biotherm’s Skin Corrector Base, as it offers plenty of protection without feeling too heavy on the skin. - GregO

2. Start early
To ensure you’ve got healthy and bright skin during the shoot, you’ll need to start on a proper skincare routine at least a year in advance. This includes using the right skincare based on your concerns, monthly facials and so on. To be honest, going on a "crash course" a month or two before isn't going to help much unless you have really good genes and have inherited good skin! - Celestine Sng

3. Keep hydrated!
Just putting on your moisturiser isn’t enough. It’s best if you apply a sleeping mask every other night as well for maximum results. Laneige’s Water Sleeping Mask offers that and more – it results in smooth skin after constant application. Makeup adheres better on a smooth surface, which leads to a glowing finish for photographs. - GregO

4. Less is more
Avoid applying masks excessively, especially when you're rushing to prep your skin before the shoot. Also, never change your skin care products just before the shoot. Stick to your regular routine, as you will already know what works for your skin. If you're looking to try something new, do it at least a month before the shoot. - Khai Lee

5. Don’t forget your lips
Lots of people tend to neglect their lips, but it’s important too; dry lips are so unsightly, and hard to cover up even with lipstick. Try Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask, which is a must for me. Best applied four times a week. For day, Fresh’s Sugar Care range treats and protects. The lip balms are convenient to tote around, so there’s no excuse for not applying them regularly! – GregO

6. Eye care
Keep eye bags and dark circles at bay with a great eye cream that packs in the benefits through its ingredients. One such product I stand by is Korean cult favourite Sulwhasoo’s Concentrated Renewing Eye Cream. – GregO

7. Trial time
Definitely do your makeup and hair trial 5-6 weeks in advance. This is really key to ensure that your are comfortable and confident during the photoshoot and actual wedding day. - Celestine

8. Know your own skin
Inform your makeup artist your skintype during the trial session so he or she can apply the 'right' makeup on. Then, once the trial is over, leave your makeup on for as long as you would during your pre-wedding shoot. This is so you can gauge how would look like after a few hours. You will then be able to share your observations with your makeu partist during the shoot or before, so any 'flaws' can be taken care of. - Khai

9. Don't go over the top
Many brides tend to over "drama-tize" their makeup and hair just because it's their wedding, and that shouldn't be the case! My advice is to focus on the most important elements of your face; polished, glowing, natural-looking healthy skin, groomed brows, bright-beautiful eyes... If you will be using fake lashes, opt for individual eyelashes and go for different lengths to create a really natural fluttery look. These are far more subtle and flattering than the full strip. - Celestine
