When Amy Ow, 28, and Jay Chang, 31, met in Sentosa in 2004, it was love at first sight, but neither said a word and kept up a friendship instead as Jay lived in Holland.

They didn’t confess their feelings for one another until seven years later, when they toured the Greek Islands together. They tied the knot in Bali in 2013. She tells us:

“In 2011, Jay asked me to explore Santorini and Naxos in Greece with him. That’s when he confessed that he’d been in love with me since we met in 2004. I told him I’d felt the same way.

amyjay6.jpgOne of the hottest floral trends this season is to have bridesmaid bouquets that don’t match yours. They can be different combinations altogether or share at least one similar bloom.

Five months later, he flew to Singapore and proposed. We decided to hold our blue and white themed wedidng at the Tirtha Luhur in Bali. The celebration would also give me more time to spend with my family and friends as we would be living in Holland after the wedding.

We gave blue feathered fans as favours; we were glad to find that they proved useful to guests, especially during the solemnisation.

amyjay9.jpgThe blue and white theme echoed the colours of the Greek Islands.

The most magical time at our wedding, was when Jay and I held each other as the fireworks went off; we couldn’t stop smiling at the thought of being together for the rest of our lives.

amyjay8.jpgThe fireworks at the end of the night made the couple’s celebration all the more magical.

From Miss to Mrs: I cherished every moment of walking down the aisle. I was giving my life to this man; nothing could be better.

amyjay7.jpgWhite lanterns, Tiffany chairs and gorgeous centrepieces added to an elegant, romantic ambience.

The wedding turned out to be exactly how I imagined it to be. It was so romantic, enchanting and fairy-tale like. If I could, I wish to relive that day once more!

My top tip? Hire a wedding planner or coordinator, so you and your entourage can enjoy the day.”
