Chanel, Coromandel High Jewellery Collection
An obsession with a lover gave rise to Mademoiselle Chanel’s love for Coromandel screens – which have been translated into over 50 pieces of spectacular jewellery pieces inspired by these Chinese ‘objets d’art’. Revolving around three themes, her signature Camellia flower, animals and minerals (for her love of crystals and gemstones), each portray intricately crafted depictions of flora, fauna and landscapes.
Choo Yilin, Warisan Kebaya
Having debuted its Peranakan-inspired Kebaya series in April earlier this year, local jeweller Choo Yilin together with Nurita Harith, a renowned Malaysian fashion and couture designer, and luxury hotel St. Regis, has unveiled the Warisan (“legacy” in Bahasa) Kebaya collection. Beautifully crafted from 18K rose gold and Type A jadeite, these are the perfect pieces to complement a kebaya (but of course), your cheongsam or add a hint of Southeast Asian heritage charm to an elegant wedding dress.
Prices start at S$1686. Choo Yilin is at #02-23 Mandarin Gallery.
