$250/day for your wedding shoot in Bhutan? Here's what you're really getting

The beautiful kingdom of Bhutan is a huge draw for many, thanks to its surreal landscapes, amazing monasteries and welcoming hospitality. But it also comes with a seemingly hefty USD 250 tourist fee a day. It's not just for the visa, though. Here's what you're really getting.

Bhutan has been drawing a lot of attention in recent years - with its amazing, unspoilt landscapes and magnificent architecture, it's a truly idyllic and mesmerising retreat for nature and culture-loving urbanites. 

The Her World Brides team travelled to Bhutan with local celebrities Jesseca Liu and Jeremy Chan to shoot their wedding portraits. 

The majestic and iconic Tiger Nest is just one of the draws of the mystical kingdom, also often dubbed the happiest country on the planet. Its dramatic natural scenery, monasteries and fortresses are made for spectacular pictures, and especially for pre-wedding shoots. But yet, there's a drawback: the USD 250 daily tourist fee, which is the highest in the world. 

It may seem exorbitant to those thinking of visiting Bhutan. But it's more than the cost of your visa. In fact, it also covers accommodation, food and ground transport. According to Bhutan Times (via AsiaOne), here's what really goes into the daily tariff:
