Themed weddings always look so fun to be a part of, and they tie in everything nicely – from decorations to paper goods and other accessories. When done well, they make for great stories and great pictures for the album, too.

Nicolette Ong and Mike Lee threw a colourful Alice in Wonderland-themed reception at the Raffles Hotel Singapore. The non-traditional wedding (there was no cake cutting, toasts or table-to-table photography) saw elements adapted from the story - as the quirky bridal bouquet and boutonnieres that were made out of coloured paper and playing cards.

Chen Siying and Gerald Pang’s wedding was a reflection of the couple’s hobbies and creativity. The fantasy-themed lunch reception at the Crowne Plaza Changi Airport Hotel showed off green touches such as the ring pillow and potted decorations, that worked with the theme. The wedding entourage even dressed to resemble characters from 'The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring' movie for the gatecrashing ceremony.

Nicolette & Mike and Siying & Gerald’s weddings were first featured in Her World Brides’ in September – November 2013.
