Do you want to make your wedding photo album even more memorable? Then plan a wedding photo shoot abroad; and a trip to remember.
Whether you’re set on historic sights, stunning architecture or the glorious outdoors, trips to one of these four cities won’t bust your wedding budget. Think of it as a mini-trip, a prelude to your romantic honeymoon.
Here, Tiger Airways shares four destinations to choose from for some spectacular wedding photography:
FOR SOME LAKESIDE ROMANCE
The Huc Bridge in Hanoi, Vietnam
HANOI, VIETNAM
Home to many of Vietnam’s most important cultural monuments and peaceful parks, this “city of lakes” is definitely a top photo destination for your wedding. From colonial-style architecture, little cafes to scenic lakes, you won’t fall short of picture-perfect scenes in the Vietnamese capital.
Set the mood for romance by strolling along the Hoan Kiem Lake hand-in-hand, as you pose for your wedding album. A walk down the vivid red Huc Bridge makes for a stunning shot; it’s easy to see why the bridge is a hot favourite for brides and grooms-to-be.
FOR OLD TOWN NOSTALGIA
The Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion in Penang, Malaysia
PENANG, MALAYSIA
Escape to Georgetown in Penang for old city sights. Streets of shophouses from the 1900s remain well-preserved in Penang’s capital; the perfect setting for a nostalgic wedding album.
Located right in the centre of Georgetown, the Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion is hard to miss. Known colloquially as the “Blue Mansion”, the buiding’s distinctive facade stands out even from afar. Its eclectic mixture of architectural influence makes this Chinese courtyard house one-of-a-kind – you’ll find art nouveau stained glass, cast iron balusters and other European features paired with Chinese architectural style.
FOR NATURE LOVERS

PERTH, AUSTRALIA
Are you nature-lovers? With great national parks and beautiful beaches just outside of Perth’s city centre, there’s plenty of nature to see, experience and photograph in this laid-back Australian city.
Take a three hour drive to the Margaret River district, located south of Perth, for a scenic road trip to more gorgeous natural sights. Every moment’s a photo opportunity: Stop along the way for spontaneous shots on the road, before journeying on to acres of greenery and rows of quaint shops and cafes by the riverside.
FOR AN OFF-THE-TRACK PHOTO DESTINATION
PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA
Think that Angkor Wat is over-photographed? Why not visit Phnom Penh instead; Cambodia’s largest city has its charms too.

For vibrant colours in your wedding album, get the bright yellows of the grand Royal Palace and sandstone buildings at the National Museum. Move on to Phnom Penh’s most recognised temple, Wat Phnom, for lush green spaces and peach-hue steps.
There’s a cheaper way to travel to this city too – Tiger Airways will launch direct flights from Singapore to Phnom Penh from October 2012.
Tiger Airways flies to all above destinations and more, with a network extending to over 30 destinations across 12 countries in the Asia Pacific region.
