Planning for a trip to Europe? Your hotel stay may cost less than you would expect, if this trend continues.

According to a travel survey conducted by travel site Trivago and Relaxnews, hotel rates have been falling across Europe between December 2012 and January 2013.

Geneva is the only European capital where rates increased, by 4 per cent, for an average night’s stay costing €220 (approximately S$360). In all the other capitals studied by the Trivago-Relaxnews barometer hotel prices have gone down.

Vienna and London saw some of the most significant drops by 17 per cent and 14 per cent respectively, while in Paris and Berlin the average prices have gone down slightly, both in comparison to last December and over the whole year.
