It’s official – Singaporeans love visiting Hong Kong. The island was recently voted the destination of choice for Singaporean travellers, according to Hotels.com’s Hotel Price Index report, which surveys hotel prices in major cities across the world.
There’s no big secret behind Hong Kong’s popularity. The food’s good, the shopping’s even better, and it’s a mere four-hour flight from Singapore, which means you can zip up and back without worrying about getting jet-lagged.
Now, there’s another reason why you should visit the bustling city. Hong Kong has just kicked off its annual Wine and Dine month, a month-long culinary extravanganza featuring authentic Hong Kong cuisine and fine wines from around the world.
Expect food-for-all street carnivals in famous food districts like Lan Kwai Fong and the seaside village of Stanley. Renowned chefs in the city’s top restaurants and hotels will also whip up yummy creations especially for the festival.
Here are just some of the highlights of the Wine and Dine month.
