Into Zodiac readings and feng shui guides? Then you’ll do well to suss out which picturesque destination is the best one for you to visit according to your Chinese element of Earth, Water, Fire, Wood or Metal
By Loh Pui Ying -
We may be well acquainted with the Chinese zodiac calendar, but how many of us are aware of the significance of the five Chinese elements? For starters, this philosophical school of thought dictates that all the elements are interconnected in a grand cycle of creation – wood fuels fire; fire forms earth (in the form of volcanoes and ash); earth contains metal; metal carries water (via buckets and pipes); and water feeds wood (think trees and plants).
For an accurate reading of your Chinese element, it’s best to do a Ba Zi birthday analysis, but as a general rule of thumb, you can use your birth year. If the last number in your birth year is:
0 or 1, you are aligned with a metal element.
2 or 3, you are aligned with a water element.
4 or 5, you are aligned with a wood element.
6 or 7, you are aligned with a fire element.
8 or 9, you are aligned with an earth element.
As elements are believed to be the fundamental roots of the universe where interactions occur, take a leap of luck and find out the best destination for your element, so you can satisfy that #wanderlust.
