Gone are the days when pets were left behind or entrusted to the care of others while their owners embarked on vacations. Instead, pet owners are opting for staycations that cater specifically to their four-legged friends, offering a range of amenities, activities, and services tailored to their needs. Adopting a similar concept is Adina Serviced Apartments, which is one of Far East Hospitality Serviced Residences. What’s great about them is that most of these serviced apartments are pet-friendly, so furry family members can join in the family moments during the stay.

Of course, as someone who has a furry kid of her own, I brought my furry companion along at Adina Serviced Apartments over the weekend with my family to check out what they have to offer.

The rooms

During our stay we booked the three bedroom apartment at Adina Serviced Apartments, which is spacious enough to fit a family of six. The furnishing in each room is minimalistic and you have a lot of space to move around – which is great especially if you’re bringing your furry friends along. There’s a king King-sized bed in the master bedroom, while the other rooms come with a Queen-sized bed and two single-sized beds.

The apartment also comes with a fully-furnished kitchen where you can cook your own meals with ease – it’s equipped with a refrigerator, microwave oven, rice cooker, electric kettle, toaster, washer and dryer. As for the bathrooms, the one in the master bedroom has its own bathtub, shower area and a vanity table, and you also have a separate washroom outside that as well.

Great for gatherings, the living room is large enough for your furry ones to run around, while you sit back, relax and enjoy your favourite shows on the 42" LCD TV.

For your furry companions

Upon arrival, we were given a welcome kit for our pets which includes a herbal pet shampoo, a laser toy for the cats, a litter bag and a pet keychain. I really love how thoughtful they were with the welcome kit and it came in handy when the cats are feeling a little restless during the day.

However, if you are bringing your cats along during your stay, it’s advisable that you bring your own litter box because it won’t be provided.

Great for the kids

While I was on a staycation with my family, we didn’t bring any kids along, but even if you were to bring your little ones to the stay, you’ll be glad to know that the room also comes with an exclusive welcome kit, consisting of a canvas bag for kids filled with an activity and colouring book, colour pencils, stickers and snacks; a family baking set with different sizes of aprons for adults and children, and wooden baking tools suitable for little hands. On top of that, each family will be gifted with charming plushies of Berry and Peary, Far East Hospitality’s campaign mascots.

The neighbourhood

Truthfully, before my stay, I wasn’t sure where Adina Serviced Apartments was located. But to my pleasant surprise, it was actually situated right opposite KPO, a stone’s throw away from Somerset MRT. And of course, if you love shopping or simply just walking around town, then this is a great place to stay at. Of course, it goes without saying that you will never go hungry as well thanks to the wide array of food options for you to choose from, be it local or international delights.

Going on staycations can be quite the hassle especially when you have pets at home to take care of. And having places like Adina Serviced Apartments, that accommodate both your family and pets are a great blessing to have. You won’t have to worry about your pets because they are with you, and you also get to enjoy some quality time with your family. After my stay, it’s safe to say that I’ll definitely be coming back for another stay with them. Great hospitality, clean rooms, and the convenient locations – it checks all the boxes for an enjoyable staycation. Initially, I was worried about how my little furry one would adapt to its new surroundings, but it didn’t take long for her to ease into its new environment.

However, there is one important thing to note about booking a stay here at the serviced apartments. Unlike hotels, you would have to book at least 6 nights at the serviced apartments, so it’s more suitable for those who are planning for a longer retreat. Nevertheless, it’s definitely worth it if you’re looking for an unforgettable experience with your furry companions and your family. From exploring nearby parks to lounging in cosy pet-friendly rooms, the joy and companionship you'll experience during your staycation will create a bond that lasts a lifetime.

Adina Serviced Apartments is located at 121 Penang Rd, Singapore 238464.
