Tips on teeth whitening and how to get the perfect smile

External surface stains from poor oral hygiene, tobacco, coffee and curry can stain your teeth, as can internal stains from teeth decay or trauma. Teeth whitening, also known as bleaching, removes stains from discoloured teeth through chemical means.

They close gaps between teeth and correct the shape of your teeth. These custom-made shells, crafted from thin plastic resin or porcelain, are fitted onto the front side of teeth.

Inlays and onlays
Like veneers, these custom-fit dental restorations are also made of plastic resin or porcelain, and replace decayed tooth structures or old fillings. An inlay fits within the teeth, while an outlay covers the chewing surface.

They restore badly decayed and fractured teeth or teeth with large fillings. A crown is essentially a cap placed over a tooth, and held in place by dental adhesive or cement. Crowns are also used to correct minor problems such as uneven tooth spacing, irregular tooth shapes or discoloration.

Check with your dentist to ensure that your teeth and gums are healthy, and any tooth decay treated before you undergo any sort of teeth whitening procedure.
