It’s the start of a new month, and with F1 season revving up in Singapore, you can bet there’ll be plenty of race-inspired pop-ups, big-name concerts, and shiny new openings to keep you busy. Personally, we love kicking off September by brunching at new cafés, checking out menus that everyone’s raving about, and wandering through the latest exhibitions — and this week’s line-up has no shortage of all that (and more). Fitxpo (27 to 28 September)

Singapore’s largest fitness convention returns this month and it’s set to be bigger, bolder, and sweatier than ever. Taking place at Suntec Convention Halls 403 and 404, the event will feature over 20 trial classes, giving fitness enthusiasts the chance to try everything from pickleball and circuit training to boxing and pilates.

To turn up the excitement, MMA star Yoshihiro Akiyama, better known as Sexyama — will be making a special appearance. Fans can look forward to joining his exclusive collab class, followed by a meet-and-greet session you won’t want to miss.

House of Masaba Debuts its Fine Jewellery Collection (26 September)

This September, Melange Singapore welcomes Masaba Gupta, who’s also known as one of India’s most dynamic creative forces, for a one-day-only showcase in Singapore. On Friday, 26 September, Masaba will be unveiling her fine jewellery line with heritage house Amrapali.

The exhibition will also unveil her newest festive and bridal collections — Varakh and The Masaba Bride 2025 — each a bold reflection of her signature style.

Mid-Autumn Paw Walk (26 to 27 September) 

On 26 and 27 September 2025, Amara Sentosa will host its first-ever Mid-Autumn Paw Walk — an immersive evening experience where pawrents and their pets can celebrate the season while exploring the resort’s charming heritage grounds.

Guests can look forward to a decadent Flames & Feasts buffet dinner, featuring premium seafood, flame-grilled delights, and local favourites. At the same time, furry companions will get to join in the celebrations with their very own treats: a set of two specially crafted 50g pet-friendly mooncakes, made with wholesome ingredients so they can safely enjoy a taste of the festivities.

ERDINGER Oktoberfest Street Festival (26 September to 18 October) 

Oktoberfest is back! Kicking off on 26 September at Lau Pa Sat, the celebration will run every Friday, complete with traditional serving ceremonies, live dancers in lederhosen and dirndls, and even personalised keepsakes you can bring home.

The party doesn’t stop there. On 10–11 and 17–18 October, the festival spills over to Haji Lane, transforming the iconic stretch into a Bavarian playground with roving photo ops, festive games, and the fan-favourite Stein Holding Competition.

Labubu Mini Market (24 September to 19 October) 

Still not over the Labubu craze? Fans of the beloved character are in for a real treat. Starting this week, The Monsters will be taking over VivoCity’s Sky Park, where fans can check out the all-new Labubu Mini Market by POP MART. At the rooftop, you’re invited to explore four immersive zones, where you can snap photos with your favourite giant Labubu characters from The Monster’s Wacky Mart Series at the designated photo zones, and shop for some of the most coveted pieces from the Wacky Mart Series at the exclusive retail pop-up at Level 1.

Machu Picchu: Journey to the Lost City (from 18 September)

Transport yourself to one of the world’s most captivating archaeological wonders, Machu Picchu, in this innovative and immersive experience. Here, visitors are invited to explore the iconic Inca citadel and freely roam through lifelike 4D recreations, from the vast agricultural terraces to the sacred Temple of the Sun. This free-roam VR experience, paired with authentic cultural storytelling, is not only interesting but also beautifully captures the scale, spirit, and intimacy of this lost civilisation.

Another World Is Possible Exhibition (from 13 September to 22 February) 

Opening on 13 September at the ArtScience Museum, this forward-looking exhibition invites visitors to imagine more hopeful, inclusive, and sustainable futures through the lens of cinema, architecture, design, and speculative fiction.

25 for 25: Paragons of Excellence (4 September to 31 October)

Paragon is celebrating its 25th anniversary in style this month with a special exhibition running until 31 October that honours individuals whose vision, creativity, and influence embody the values that have defined the mall over the past 25 years.

Here, the showcase combines intimate storytelling with dynamic video features, spotlighting three groups — Innovators, Creators, and Muses — reflecting the spirit of innovation, craftsmanship, and style that continues to shape both the honourees and Paragon itself. Joining the festivities, Ferragamo, one of Paragon’s longstanding luxury tenants, presents the global launch of its Vara Exhibition (till 21 September 2025) at the Level 1 Main Atrium. First introduced in 1978 by Fiamma Ferragamo, the Vara shoe is an enduring icon of elegance, celebrated for its grosgrain bow and stacked heel. The immersive showcase charts its journey from past to present, while offering a glimpse into the future of this beloved design.

NEW: Tomacado restaurant

Tomacado, has made its international debut in Singapore with a brand-new outlet at Paragon. Founded in Beijing in 2015, Tomacado’s name is derived from the words, Tomato and Avocado, and is best known for creating spaces where food and flowers meet. What’s unique about the restaurant is that you can enjoy a meal surrounded by fresh blooms and even purchase a bouquet to take home afterwards.

On the menu, you’ll find hearty comfort dishes with a creative twist, from fresh salads and roasted chicken to steak with a fiery mala dip and an eye-catching butterfly pea soda that’s practically made for Instagram.

Singapore Food Festival (4 to 24 September)

Singapore Food Festival is back this September, and this year’s lineup promises to be just as indulgent as it is exciting. Among the festival highlights is The Dempsey Palate (13 September), which turns Dempsey Hill into a vibrant alfresco celebration of food, music, and community with live performances, roving entertainment, kids’ activities, and dining from Dempsey’s restaurants and booths like Blue Smoke.

Over at Geneo Science Park, Flavours of Tomorrow (13 September) offers a thought-provoking culinary experience led by futurist Luke Tay and guest chef Christina Rasmussen of Fura, featuring collaborations with local food-tech innovators and a menu that explores the future of food through bold ingredients and new techniques.

On 14 September, Tea Treats at Mise en Place pairs premium teas with desserts by world-renowned pâtissier Adriano Zumbo and a special appearance from an Avantcha Tea Master.

Birkenstock Cork Oasis pop-up (30 August to 2 November)

Birkenstock has opened its brand-new flagship at WEAVE, and to mark the occasion, the store is hosting a pop-up packed with family-friendly fun. The highlight? The Cork Oasis Villa — an immersive play-and-craft space where kids can clamber through balancing trails, dive into a ball pit, and even help colour a giant BIRKENSTOCK Arizona. Shoppers can also add their mark to the interactive Cork Wall. The Villa runs from 30 Aug to 2 Nov, and each 45-minute play session is redeemable with proof of purchase.

While you’re there, browse the store’s full collection — from the latest clogs to cult-favourite sandals — plus Birkenstock’s own self-care line featuring foot and body care essentials.

Singapop! ArtScience Museum’s SG60 exhibition (2 August to 28 December)

In celebration of Singapore’s 60th birthday, the ArtScience Museum presents SingaPop! 60 Years of Singapore Pop Culture—a vibrant multimedia exhibition that showcases the nation’s cultural transformation.

From the rise of Singlish and beloved hawker fare to iconic music, films, fashion trends, and National Day celebrations, this immersive exhibition captures everything that makes Singapore unique and unconditionally home. Visitors can also explore milestones in local pop culture, featuring legendary figures like Dick Lee, Kit Chan, and Rahimah Rahim.

Spanning across five thematic chapters, SingaPop! invites audiences of all ages to journey through time, from the swinging ‘60s to the digital 2020s, and celebrate six decades of creativity, identity, and expression. The Singapop! exhibition premieres on 2 August and runs until 28 December 2025.

In addition, Her World will be included in SingaStories, with a special section showcasing decades of iconic covers and the remarkable women who have graced them over the years. Don’t miss out on the wave of nostalgia and a look at Singapore’s transformation, all happening at Singapop!

SAM Contemporaries 2: How To Dream Worlds (1 August to 16 November)

The Singapore Art Museum presents SAM Contemporaries 2: How To Dream Worlds — an exhibition that explores the act of dreaming as a form of resistance, speculation, and reimagination. Featuring works by six emerging Singaporean artists, the showcase invites audiences to reflect on the uncertainties of the present.

Spanning from 1 August to 16 November, the exhibition features a diverse mix of installations, moving images and more. Highlights include the use of wild lalang to question systems of control, and playful reinterpretations of nasi goreng as a way to unpack complexities.

SAM Contemporaries 2: How To Dream Worlds will be held at Gallery 3, Level 3, SAM at Tanjong Pagar Distripark.

Hobbies Fair (20 to 21 September)

Bored of the same old activities? Shake things up at the Hobbies Fair, where you can discover fresh passions or dive deeper into ones you already love. This exhibition brings together a wide variety of booths and experiences—from hands-on workshops that let you get crafty, to building your very own custom keyboard, shopping for stylish sports attire, or hunting down unique collectibles and trinkets to expand your ever-growing collection.

Admission to the fair is free, however, you do need to registration is required.

Kylie Cosmetics Cafe Pop-up (18 to 21 September) 

In celebration of the beauty mogul’s latest Glossy Lip Kit and Hybrid Blush release, Kylie Cosmetics will be taking over Alani from 18 to 21 September. This cute little pop-up will give fans a first look at some of the new arrivals as well as some of her must-have products. Think – Kylie’s lip kits, lip butters and fragrances. Aside from that, guests can also immerse themselves in some mini activities at the pop-up, including a photo booth where they can snap photos with their besties, take part in a watercolour painting workshop, and last but not least, customise their own Lip Kit at the charm station.

Museum of Ice Cream Fourth Anniversary (8 to 20 September) 

It’s going to be a sweet one at the Museum of Ice Cream this September as it marks its fourth anniversary. To celebrate, MOIC has lined up a host of fun activities, starting with an ice cream-making workshop with Denzy Gelato (8–13 September) – a dream come true for dessert lovers. Over at Dempsey Hill, look out for a special Sprinkle Pool takeover as part of the Singapore Food Festival (13–14 September), where you can dive into MOIC’s signature Sprinkle Pool for an experience you won’t find anywhere else.

Of course, no celebration is complete without a cool treat – beat the heat with a scoop from MOIC’s iconic pink ice cream cart. And to wrap things up on the sweetest note, don’t miss their big anniversary bash on 20 September at the Dessert Bar, featuring groovy disco beats from 5210 Music Collective and Wild Pearl.

Find Your Folks @ Jalan Besar (11 to 21 September) 

Jalan Besar comes alive this September with Find Your Folks, a festival of design, music, food, and community. Wander The Makers’ Trail (11 to 19 September), a self-guided walk featuring creative public furniture inspired by the neighbourhood, then join the Street Festival (20 to 21 September) for block parties, DJ sets, thrift markets, skate jams, workshops, and more. Look out too for exclusive bites and drinks from local favourites like Wild Coco, Druggists, Chye Seng Huat Hardware, and Just Julia.

Retro District by RESURRACK (22 August to 21 September)

In conjunction with this year’s Singapore Night Festival, Bugis Town lights up once again with the highly anticipated Bugis Night Lights, now in its fourth edition and running till 21 September 2025. This annual campaign transforms the neighbourhood into a buzzing playground, and this year’s highlight is the Retro District by RESURRACK — a throwback to the colourful energy of the ’80s. Expect live performances by homegrown talents, curated vintage treasures from seasoned collectors and thrift stores, and a lineup of activity stations where you can get hair tinsel makeovers, henna tattoos, live caricatures, tarot readings and even spontaneous poetry sessions. 

While you’re soaking in the retro fun, make a detour to Bugis+ for Waves of Time: Splash On Our Skyline by neon artist Maegzter. This retro-futuristic light installation pays homage to Singapore’s maritime heritage with sweeping wave motifs and vibrant neon displays.

Big Book Giveaway (13 to 14 September)

Does your personal library need a refresh? The National Library Board is back with its 10th Big Book Giveaway on 13 to 14 September at the National Library Building — and this year’s edition will be its biggest yet, with over 60,000 pre-loved books up for grabs. Admission is free, and each visitor can bring home up to 10 titles spanning everything from fantasy and non-fiction to books by and about Singapore.

Got books to spare? You can also donate up to 50 pre-loved titles, giving them a second life with new readers.

Island Atelier (10 to 12 September) 

Previously known as Sentosa Fair, Island Atelier returns to the shores of Sentosa with a new name and a curated experience, dedicated to supporting small businesses and creators across fashion, lifestyle, and design. Located at ONE°15 Marina, Sentosa Cove, guests can expect over 50 independent brands, dining deals as well as interactive workshops for you to participate in (whether it’s with your friends, partner or your kids).

Sands for Singapore Charity Festival (24 July to 7 September)

In commemoration of SG60, Marina Bay Sands will be hosting its Sands for Singapore Charity Festival to honour all things local with a series of unique fundraising activities that celebrate unity and strengthen Singapore’s community spirit.

On the first week of September, the festival will wrap up with a three-day bash at Event Plaza (5–7 September) featuring a marketplace, with booths helmed by non-profits, social enterprises and small businesses, hands-on activities like Play for a Cause, where you can assemble food bundles for The Food Bank Singapore, and gourmet bites from spots like Black Tap, Bread Street Kitchen and more — supporting families in need.

To add to the festivities, there will also be performances by homegrown talents like Glenn Yong, bands like 53A, Supersonic, Jive Talkin’, plus DJs and roving buskers.

Singapore Night Festival (22 August to 6 September)

The annual Singapore Night Festival makes its return this August, and as part of its 16th edition, the event will feature over 80 immersive and innovative experiences across the Bras Basah.Bugis (BBB) precinct. Happening from 22 August to 6 September, this year’s edition is themed Island Nights and it’s in honour of Singapore’s 60th birthday. Highlights from this year’s festival include Sky Castle by Australian art and technology studio ENESS – an enchanting, interactive sound and light installation, that boasts a vibrant cluster of inflatable arches that form a colourful symphony located at Cathay Green; Kampong Chill, an artwork by Yok & Sheryo, a satirical piece that champions inefficiency as an art form, elevates daydreaming to a cultural practice, and frames sitting still as a revolutionary act; as well as other projection mapping artworks, performances and programmes.
