For instance, new events centred around the World Cup season, playful pop‑ups, bartenders pouring bright summer cocktails, art that lights up the Marina Bay promenade, and a sprawling food‑and-music village to stroll through after dusk.

i Light Singapore (5 to 28 June)
i Light Singapore returns this June, lighting up Marina Bay and spilling into Raffles Place for a quiet, walkable festival that feels part gallery, part neighbourhood evening out. Organised by the URA and presented by UOB, this year’s edition brings 14 light installations by 17 artists — more than ten of them from Singapore and across Asia — so the work leans local and regional rather than spectacle.
Built around the theme of Movement, the festival invites you to slow down and notice how small gestures—steps, touches, breaths—can ripple into something larger. Expect pieces that gently animate the waterfront: meditative water ripples, a reimagined “fishing” play with the sun, and other works that pull you into the frame and make you a participant rather than a bystander. It’s an easy evening out: wander between sites, stop to reflect, and let the light prompt conversations you wouldn’t usually have.
I Light Singapore is located around the Marina Bay area
GastroBeats (5 to 28 June)
In line with i Light Singapore at Marina Bay, GastroBeats returns for its fifth edition from 5 to 28 June, laying out three weeks of food, music and easygoing community moments at the Bayfront Event Space.
Expect familiar favourites and fresh faces across more than 40 vendors, live acts that soundtrack the evening, and new ways to linger: family play zones, pickleball courts, and an elevated dining strand called GastroBeats Spotlights. As i Light Singapore’s official Festival Village, the site hums with light-led activity, while brand activations from Coca‑Cola, Carlsberg, EPIC, Tiger Brokers and Zouk add little pockets of theatre and comfort throughout. It’s the perfect activity to check with your family or even bring your little furkids out to.

SCWO New2U’s Mid-Year Bazaar (5 to 7 June)
The SCWO New2U Mid-Year Bazaar is a relaxed, three-day affair for anyone who enjoys the quiet thrill of secondhand shopping. Happening from 5th to 7th June, the event is less about frantic bargain-hunting and more about rummaging through thoughtfully curated pieces. Think: everyday shirts from $1–$5, half-price staples, jewellery deals like 4 for $10, generous markdowns on designer labels and 20% off the Black Label selection.
What makes it nicer than a typical sale is the pace: people linger, chat, and swap styling tips, so it’s a good chance to stumble on something unexpected that actually fits your life. Everything supports a meaningful cause, too, so your find feels good in more ways than one.
New2U Mid-Year Bazaar is located at 96 Waterloo Street
UNIQLO’s Sunny Garden UV Pop-Up (5 to 7 June)
UNIQLO is having its own Sunny Garden pop-up at Bugis Junction, and it’s a light, hands-on way to think about sun care. Think of it as part demo, part relaxed summer hangout. Here, at the UV Tech Experience Zone, UV-reactive flowers change colour under ultraviolet light so you can actually see how everyday sun exposure works and how UNIQLO’s UV pieces help block harmful rays. There’s also a sunglasses try-on area to help you find a pair that actually suits your face and your plans for the season.
On top of that, if you’re a UNIQLO App member, there are a couple of small perks that you can look forward to at the pop-up. For instance, you can snap and share your pop-up experience on social to get a free sunglasses voucher with a min. spend of S$100 at UNIQLO Bugis+ — limited to the first 200 redemptions daily across five designs while stocks last — and you can also redeem a complimentary 10g Bioré UV Airy Hold Cream sample (first 1,000 qualifying visitors daily).
UNIQLO’s Sunny Garden pop-up is located at Bugis Junction Hylam Street, Level 1

The space is styled like the areas beneath a stadium: bench-like displays, scattered World Cup balls, and plenty of photo-ready corners that capture the tournament buzz without feeling forced.
Highlights to look out for include the federation kits available for purchase (with on-site name customisation) and a full range of World Cup accessories and match balls.

On 20 June Groovetop stages a party that’ll lean into funk and groove, while Blackout Agency’s Secret Loft Party on 27 June turns a tucked-away industrial space into an intimate, underground night.
