Moments that Matter at Millennium Hotels and Resorts (Till 31 October)

This October, Millennium Hotels and Resorts has partnered with Breast Cancer Foundation Singapore, to bring the ‘Moments that Matter’ campaign to life across all six of its Singapore properties — a heartfelt initiative centred around care, hope and connection for those touched by breast cancer. At the heart of it is a series of meaningful experiences. For instance, over at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore, you can indulge in a personalised wellness tea analysis with Luli that uses AI-powered TCM assessments to craft a herbal tea blend tailored to you, on top of a pink-themed afternoon tea session. Across all six properties, there will also be the ‘Threads of Care’ installation in the lobby where you’re invited to leave messages of strength and support — and once each installation is filled, each hotel will pledge S$1,000 to the Breast Cancer Foundation Singapore.

Halloween Horror Nights (25 September to 1 November)

Spooky season is officially here because Universal Studios Singapore’s Halloween Horror Nights makes its return to the theme park from 25 September to 1 November. For its 14th iteration, this year’s event draws on Asian folklore, urban legends and a few twisted takes on familiar Singapore icons that’ll make you look at the Karung Guni man very differently from now on.

Expect four haunted houses, two immersive zones, three live shows, and an all-new roving scare experience where the scares come to you. Fan favourites like the pontianak return alongside new additions, including Chatterbox Charlie, a graveyard rave scare zone called The Raveyard, and the debut of a new live show based on the seven deadly sins that is equal parts terrifying and very entertaining. At the park, you’ll also get to meet Universal Studios Japan’s beloved zombie teddy bear HamiKuma, who will be making his first-ever appearance in Singapore.

Padel has been quietly taking over the world, and now it’s landed at one of Singapore’s most iconic backdrops – and yes, we’re talking about Gardens by the Bay. Located at the West Lawn at Gardens by the Bay, the pop-up is the latest stop in UBS’s regional Padel Series that will be open to the public for court bookings from 19 September to 11 October. Whether you’re a seasoned player or have never picked up a padel racket in your life, open play sessions are open to all ages and skill levels — and best of all, court bookings are complimentary. Bookings are open on the Playtomic app and are based on a first-come, first-served basis, with equipment available for rental if you’re not quite at the gear-buying stage yet. A sporting afternoon with the Supertrees as your backdrop? Honestly, not a bad way to spend a weekend.
