Despite the updated measures that were announced on March 24, there's still no news on when we can officially travel again. Nevertheless, there are still ways to satisfy your boredom on our little red dot. In our latest series, we've rounded up some of the things that you can do in Singapore this coming April.
Singapore-based artists Hazel Lim, Ginette Chittick, Jodi Tan, Nature Shankar, and Berny Tan, explore weaving, embroidery, origami and cross-stitching in their latest collaborative exhibition, Sewing Discord. The exhibition reflects on raising conversations about the unspoken, unseen and invisible by drawing one’s stereotypical perception of craft and seeking to thwart and upset the meanings it had come to possess.
Sewing Discord delves into the artists' creative approaches while interrogating other mediums such as painting, sculpture and architectural forms to reinterpret the position of craft in the hierarchy of visual culture.
Venue: Jendela Gallery, Esplanade
Dates: 16th April to 4 July 2021

Here, you'll be able to witness some of the most extraordinary objects and documents such as menus, cutlery, suitcases — everything one needs to relive the glamour of luxury travel in the past, or scenes from Murder On the Orient Express or From Russia With Love.
