If you haven’t been to this contemporary Filipino joint located at The Pier at Robertson, then it’s about time you should. Helming the kitchen is none other than Kurt Sombero himself – who has worked with Andre Chang at Restaurant Andre and Dave Pynt at Burnt Ends in Singapore, and Cyrille Soenen at Impressions Restaurant in Manila. With many years of experience under his belt, you could say that the chef himself is cognizant of his own heritage and culture, but he definitely loves giving the dishes he grew up with a unique twist that’s sure to tickle your tastebuds. Some of our favourites from the extensive menu include the slow-braised Honeycomb tripe that’s flash fried and seasoned with paprika and spicy chickpea puree; grilled smoked beef tongue served with mushroom and tare; and the Halo-halo, a purple yam ice cream with coconut jam, coconutty corn custard topped with a torched meringue.

Kubo is located at 80 Mohamed Sultan Rd, #01-12 The Pier at Robertson, Singapore 239013
