Add this to your holiday to-do list: there’s a new attraction coming to town.

SkyHelix Sentosa, an open-air rotating gondola ride, will open to the public on Dec 15, which is earlier than its original scheduled date in the first quarter of 2022.

What you can expect: The 12-minute ride will gently rotate along a vertical helix-like structure to peak at 35m above ground level, where you’ll stay for 10 minutes. Not only can you soak in the 360-degree sights of Sentosa and the developing Greater Southern Waterfront, but you’ll also get to dangle your feet in the air with a drink in hand.

The ride’s peak is at 79m above sea level, making it one of the highest vantage points on Sentosa, according to Mount Faber Leisure Group. Come sunset, the ride will be transformed with glittering LED lights, too.

Each ticket will get you a choice of one standard non-alcoholic beverage (a soft drink or slushie) or an exclusive SkyHelix Sentosa souvenir. Ready-to-drink cocktails are on sale at a snack bar at the foot of the attraction.

For those thinking of bringing the kids along, the minimum height requirement is 1.05m. And only vaccinated guests and accompanying children under 12 will be able to go on the ride. Guests between 1.05m to 1.2m in height or under 12 years old must be accompanied by a supervising adult.

Tickets are at $18 (adult) and $15 (child, 4 to 12 years old) are now available for purchase on Mount Faber Leisure’s website. SkyHelix Sentosa is at 41 Imbiah Road, Singapore 099707.
