It’s true that we reap what we sow in all aspects of our lives, but Toast Box has taken that saying quite literally with their new partnership with charity organisation ABLE (Abilities Beyond Limitations and Expectations).

Together with the non-profit charity, Toast Box has created “Sprouting Kits” – portable cups that allow you to grow your very own vegetables.

Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like. The Sprouting Kits are ready-made sets that come complete with seeds, instructions and soil compost for convenient vegetable growing in your own home, whether it’s a stylish HDB apartment or a gorgeous landed property.

Everything about the Sprouting Kit is made for good karma points: The soil compost is processed from Toast Box’s recycled coffee grounds, making it environmentally-friendly, and the bak choy or kai lan that you grow are very much edible. Just add them to your salad or add your vegetables to a cooked dish.

That means you not only get a fresh supply for your healthy dish, you also earn some bragging rights – who else gets to say they grew their own meal, right?

Plus, just imagine how cute these sprouting kits would look on the windowsill of your kitchen.

And of course, 100 percent of the profits will go towards ABLE’s rehabilitation, respite and training programmes, so you know you’re spending your money on something that matters.

Toast Box’s Sprouting Kits are available at 35 Toast Box stores, and are sold at $5 each.
