Men’s Fashion Week K-pop acts announcedMen’s Fashion Week 2012 has a new name this year, the Music and Men’s Fashion Week and in line with the music element, the organisers announced last week that around 10 K-and-J-Pop bands will be making their way to Singapore to perform alongside the fashion shows.

The first batch of names has just been released, and CNBlue band member Lee Jung Shin (right), is just one of the names that has been confirmed to make an appearance for opening night on April 18.

Other names have been announced to perform on April 18, two of which are breakout YouTube stars and the last a trio called 8eight that has been referred to as Korea’s Black Eyed Peas.

Look out for 16-year-old guitar whiz Sungha Jung, who has managed to garner over 443 million YouTube video views for his acoustic guitar covers of chart-topping hits like Adele’s Rolling in the Deep and Bruno Mars’ I’m Yours. With an impressive two albums and a France tour under his belt, Sungha Jung will be performing alongside Korean-American singer Megan Lee, also a YouTube sensation.

Men’s Fashion Week K-pop acts announced8eight, a trio who won the first season of South Korea MBC’s Show Survival, will also perform on opening night. The band, consisting of members Joo Hee, Lee Hyun and Baek Chan, is known for their R&B music style and is bound to put up a performance not to be missed.

More confirmed names to show up at the five-day Men’s Fashion Week 2012 are Japanese actors Tanihara Shosuke and Kamiji Yusuke, male model and actor Lee Soo Hyuk, Korean singer Se7en (left) – part of the same company as superstars Big Bang – Korean-American rock band Royal Pirates as well as Japanese singer-composer H Zett M.
