Mark Ruffalo's leotard caused onset gigglesMark Ruffalo will “never forget” the first day he walked onto the set of Avengers Assemble in his “little leotard”.

The actor plays the role of Dr. Bruce Banner/Hulk in the superhero movie alongside an all star cast including Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth.

Mark admits the biggest challenge of the movie was wearing the unforgiving motion-capture costume that technicians used to transform him into the massive green monster.

“I’ll never forget the first day I walked on set in my little leotard,” Ruffalo told The Hollywood Reporter. “Immediately I saw half of the crew and cast start to giggle. But when I freaked out I was actually pretty scary.”

The 44-year-old has made no secret of his distaste for the outfit in the past, claiming he felt like an “a**hole” in the leotard. Mark had to slim down to play the green superhero and fit into the costume.

“I did a cleanse that was like hell. I lost 21 pounds and I’ve kept about 15 off. I quite like it – it’s good to be a little trimmer,” he previously revealed.

“I felt like such an a**hole wearing The Hulk’s little leotard, though. When they were designing it, I was like, ‘How about adding a codpiece? How about a** pads?’ It’s not very flattering.”
