Gary Oldman says modelling for Prada was “a gas”.

The British actor caused a stir by stepping out on the catwalk for the Italian label during Milan Men’s Fashion Week in January. He was joined by other Hollywood stars including Adrien Brody and Jamie Bell.

Gary didn’t hesitate when asked if he would like to try his hand at modelling.

“I thought about it for ten seconds and said, ‘Yeah, OK, why not?’ It was different,” he told Harper’s Bazaar.

“It was a gas, mainly because of Mrs Prada and her team, who are meticulous and treated me royally.”

Gary had such a great time that he has agreed to front the Fall/Winter 2012 menswear campaign alongside Jamie Bell, Willem Dafoe and Garrett Hedlund. Fashion photographer David Sims took the shots for the campaign.

Gary isn’t the only person in his family who has shown an interest in the fashion industry.

“My youngest, Charlie, wants to be a designer, so he’s been lucky to meet Miuccia [Prada] and be hanging out with the right people,” he smiled.
